Environment Action Team. Jennifer Rigby, New Hanover County Strategy and Budget Office will meet with us August 10. She will discuss Planning 101: Who, what, why of Planning. Also, we are expecting the first document of the UDO to be out in July, so we can ask her questions and comment on that issue.

Hot Topic for August. Bonnie Bechard: "Naturalization: How you can help someone become a citizen."

We all come in contact with immigrants every day. Bonnie will show you the fundamentals and the tools, as well as a few little-known facts that may be the missing key to someone getting their citizenship.

A local immigration attorney, Vanessa Gonzalez, will also be present to discuss her role in working with immigrants in our community and to answer audience questions.

Feel free to bring a bag lunch or plan to eat downtown before or after the meeting. A map of restaurants nearby and menus will be available. Guests are always welcome!
